Ashvin Gidwani Productions introduces the smash hit comedy 'History of India' starring India’s biggest Stand-up comedian Vir Das. After taking audiences by storm and running to venues across the country packed to the rafters, the hugely successful show now comes to the Capital to treat the Delhi audience to a rocking comic act as Vir embarks on a unique journey through the History of India in a never before experienced avatar!. Chronologically narrated with major events in history from Mohenjodaro and Harappa to the present times, the show is a parody on India’s rich history, like the dressing style of the Mughal kings, how the British won India through violent use of flags and how the Lodhi dynasty's greatest victory was a flower-garden. It spans the time from when the Indian subcontinent separated from Pangea to Obama's recent visit, and of course, it doesn’t spare Bollywood at all and enthralls the audience from Rajesh Khanna’s famous style till date! Vir’s inimitable humor, refreshing content, comic timing; coupled with a mixture of fact and fiction; a little satire promises to be a performance of great elan and sophistication.
