Hamta Pass

 Hamta Pass Trek is one of the most famous wonderful and easiest treks in the Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. The variation in the trails is enormous; scenic landscapes, open green pastures and meadows, glacial valleys, easy access and an excellent, adventurous and hair raising crossing of the pass makes this trekking to Hampta pass an exciting.

Route: Manali – Chikka – Balu Ka Gera – Hamta Pass – Siagoru –

Chhatru – Chandratal – Manali

Average Trek Time: 5-8 hrs per day

Itinerary

Day 01: Reach at Manali, take rest and prepare for trek, O/N at Hotel

Day 02: Travel Manali to Jobra (9700 ft), Trek to Chika, Elevation: 10100 ft, Trekking Time: 2 hrs trek

After Breakfast travel from Manali to Jobra and start trek to Chika an easy ascent to reach Chika. Trek passes through the most amazing landscape. O/N at Camp

Day 03: Balu Ka Gera, Elevation: 12464 ft, Trekking Time: 8 km/5hrs trek Today trek is a gradual ascent. While trekking we will be able to see the Dauladar Range. O/N at Camp

Day 04: Siagoru through Hamta Pass, Elevation: 14070 ft, Trekking Time: 12km/5-6 hrs trek

Today is the most stunning part of the trek as we cross the Hampta Pass and then descend to camp Siagoru. The ascent of the Hamta pass will be moderate. O/N at Camp

Day 05: Chhatru, Elevation: 11000 ft, Trekking Time: 3-4 hrs Trek, travel to Chandratal, 3-4 hrs by road Today we have an easy descent through the Hampta Valley. The massive mountains of the Pir Panjal and Spiti ranges overlook the entire landscape till the Chatru. Chatru is a confluence point of paths from Rohtang Pass, Hamta Pass and Spiti. If road and weather condition permit we head to the Chandra Tal. O/N at Camp

Day 06: Chandratal, 14100 ft to Manali, 6-7 hrs drive Chandratal or Chandra Tal or Chandra Taal or Chander Taal or also known as Moon Lake is a barren but beautiful lake located at a height of 14100 feet in Himachal Pradesh in northern India 2.5 km wide sweet water lake. It comes under Spiti and Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake got its name because of its crescent shape. After BF and some photography will drive back to Manali. O/N at Hotel.

Day 07: Departure to Delhi
