About The Event

Explore the supernatural side of India's Maharaja state.

When the sun sets in Rajasthan, history awakes. Legends and lore tainted by sacrifice of war and rituals of tyrants; sagas of heroes, the unfinished ballad of Rajputana lovers, cursed villages and vengeful spirits lurk in the misty corners of this beautiful and serene land. We bring you a chance to venture on a journey of a lifetime. Take a step beyond fences, relive those dark legends and perhaps see things that we could not. Because they were waiting…just for you.

The horror begins in Udaipur and those who survive will depart from Jaipur.

ITINERARY:

DAY 01: THE AWAKENING

ROUTE: ARRIVALS IN UDAIPUR

Start by losing your heart to the City of Lakes. At the break of dawn, we begin our journey and visit Pichola Lake, City Palace, and the mesmerizing Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum. We shall end the day with a cultural twist at Bagore ki Haveli, followed by an overnight stay in Udaipur.

DAY 02: THE SACRIFICE

ROUTE: UDAIPUR - Chittorgarh – Udaipur (250 Kms)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before we embark for an excursion to Chittorgarh. Centuries ago this glorious fort was filled with blood curling cries of women who burnt themselves alive in a massive pyre. Today, its walls still echo out that tragic sound. While you relive that massacre, we will cheer you back with a visit to Sajjangarh in Udaipur, renowned for being Octopussy’s lair in an iconic James Bond film.

DAY 03: GREAT WALL OF INDIA

ROUTE: UDAIPUR - Ranakpur (100 Kms)

Be awed by the might and magnificence of India’s Great Wall at the Kumbalgarh Fort which stands as the second longest wall in the World after the Great Wall of China. Double the elation as 1,444 pillars of the Ranakpur Jain Temple win you over.

DAY 04: GHOST RIDER

ROUTE: Ranakpur – Pali – Jodhpur (180 Kms)

Experience true bliss today as you set foot in Jodhpur, the Blue City of India; but before that, you must pay your respects to the haunted abode of the Bullet Baba as we visit the notorious Bike Temple. Reach out to the romantic in you as we pass Umaid Bhavan, also known as the Taj Mahal of Rajasthan.

DAY 05: THE DARK KNIGHT

ROUTE: Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (250 Kms)

Relive that heroic scene from the Dark Knight Rises as we visit the mighty Mehrangarh Fort. After we break for a scrumptious lunch, we will travel into the desert to lose ourselves amidst the sandy dunes of Jaisalmer where a cold and pleasant night awaits us.

DAY 06: THE VILLAGE

ROUTE: Jaisalmer (50 Kms)

Take your time to witness the history of Maharajas come alive in India’s Golden City of Jaisalmer. Before the sun quits on us, we will travel to Kuladahara where the 200-year-old ruins of a cursed village might hold a surprise or two for us. After the chills comes a euphoric camel ride at the Sam Sand Dunes. End your day as you watch the sun kiss the Thar goodbye as we pause to relax the desert.

DAY 07: THE DESERTED HIGHWAY

ROUTE: Jaisalmer - Bikaner (380 Kms)

Today we will drive through the infinite terrain of the Thar to reach Bikaner where you may choose to step foot in the infamous temple at Karnimata. Yes, the one with the thousand rats in it.

DAY 08: A NIGHT FILLED WITH NIGHTMARES

ROUTE: Bikaner- Nawalgarh (250 Kms)

Begin your day with a brief visit to the historic Junagarh Fort after which we will travel to a place that most travelogues won’t tell you about – Nawalgarh. Prepare to relive eerie ghost stories as you enjoy a chilly night walk in a town renowned for its abandoned Havelis. You may choose to spend the night at a farm or at a 100-year-old Haveli with a campfire and barbecue.

DAY 09: THE ETERNAL LOVE

ROUTE: Jaipur (150 Kms)

Travelers, poets, singers and Kings have lost their hearts to the glorious capital of Rajasthan. Be awed by its regal architecture, feel the thrill of riding an elephant at the Amber Fort and romance your camera lenses as you pass Jaigarh, Johari Bazaar, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Jal Mahal.

DAY 10: THE CONJURING

ROUTE: Jaipur (150 Kms)

Today, put your courage to the test as you come face to face with the spirits that haunt Rajasthan. We do advise caution at this stage of our journey. Our first stop is the Mehendipur Balaji Temple, where evil spirits are conjured and driven away by exorcists. We push the limits on the final leg of our journey as we visit Bhangarh Fort where fences and caution signs color the surroundings, where none are allowed to venture once the sun sets and where travelers have captured more than just people in their cameras.

DAY 11: THE JOURNEY HOME

They say the ancient Rajasthan is still alive in the hearts of travelers who have been here. Many return with memories, many return with more. To preach the supernatural is not our business, but to bring you a chance to experience it, is our privilege. Remember, that one way or the other, you won’t be going back home alone. And if you do, Rajasthan will be waiting for you to return.
