About The Event

ROSEPETALS have been conducting CORPORATE SPORTS events since 2009. We have successfully conducted 17 sports events in the last 2 1/2 years including Hyderabad Corporate Olympics which is our Feather in the Crown event.

We take pride in announcing the First ever Inter Corporate Cultural Competition - GLITTERS - Corporate Cultural Festival which will be held on 28th July 2012 at RAVINDRA BHARATHI MAIN AUDITORIUM, Saifabad, Hyderabad. The one day event which will have various competitions -

  • Group Music
  • Group Dance (Western)
  • Group Dance (Folk / Classical)
  • Adzap
  • Variety Show &
  • Silent Skit.

We would be conducting several non-competitive activities as well for the participants & spectators.

Please note that the registration will close on 20th July 2012.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

GENERAL RULES –

  • The Organizers reserve the right to reject an entry
  • Maximum of 2 teams allowed from each organization
  • The companies should nominate one non participating Team Coordinator who would be the point of contact prior and during the event.
  • The nominated participants should be the permanent employee of the organization & the participants
  • should carry their Identity Cards on the day of the event. If a participant is not carrying the Identity Card, he / she will not be permitted to take part in any event whatsoever.
  • All teams are requested to report at the Participant’s Desk at least 15 minutes before the time of the event
  • All participants / team that do not report on the stipulated time will forfeit their chance to participate
  • No request for change of time, replacement of the participant in the team will be allowed
  • The participants should adhere to the time limits mentioned in the rules. Any time deviation will attract negative marks.
  • You may send a team to cheer and encourage your participants during the events. Please remember, there is an award for the Best Cheering Team.
  • Teams should register in advance (before the Deadline i.e., 20th July 2012). Limited Entry on First Come First Serve Basis. No spot entries entertained.
  • The decision of the jury on the event results would be final
  • All events are direct Finals but if it necessitates, we may conduct Preliminaries which may happen on 21st July 2012.
  • In case of any Protest, the same should be lodged within 15 minutes of official declaration of the results of the related event and a Protest Fee of Rs.1,000/- should be paid.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to alter the schedule of events and any such change will be intimated to the Coordinator.
  • The dimensions of the stage are: Wooden Stage – 42/30 feet. Depth – 30 feet, Width – 42 feet,
  • Height – 18 feet. Pls ensure that the dimensions are kept in mind while practicing
  • The Organizers will not be responsible for any accidents or mishaps during the event or at the venue
  • premises. However, a First Aid Kit will be available at the Participants Desk.
  • The Organizers will not be responsible for any comments, remarks or judgments made by the judges or any invitees.
  • Eatables are not allowed inside the auditorium.
  • All participants and audience are expected to maintain a decent level of decorum in the event venue.
  • Cheering is allowed but use of any impolite language against other participating teams or audiences not allowed.
  • Consumption of alcohol, cigarettes or drugs are not allowed within the premises. Those found under the intoxication of alcohol or smoking will be forced to vacate the event venue and the matter will be communicated to the concerned authority in the employing organization (even if they are a mere spectator & not a participant)
  • The Organizers will not be responsible for any loss or theft of personal belongings of the participants / spectators. The respective person should take utmost care of their belongings.
  • In cases of emergency, like fire, stampede, or any incidence leading to mass panic; participants and visitors are requested to follow the emergency evacuating procedures to ensure safety of fellow participants and visitors. Organizers will not be responsible for damages occurring during such incidences.
  • The organizers have the right to reschedule the events, change venue, timings and rules. However, it would be communicated to the coordinator of the participating company.
  • The participants should take utmost care of the properties of the auditorium and ensure that they do not damage any of the property. In case of any intentional damage to any of the property, the
  • participant will be held responsible for compensating the loss of the property.

RULES SPECIFIC TO THE EVENTS –

Rhythm (Group Singing)

  • Minimum 4, Maximum 10 members per team including Instrumentalists
  • No obscenity and vulgarity will be allowed
  • Time Limit: 7 minutes from set up to finish (a bell will be rung on completion of 6 minutes)
  • Judgment Criteria – Harmony, Energy, Expressions, Choice of Song & Overall Presentation
  • The chosen song should be mentioned in the entry form. We advise the participants to be ready
  • with at least 2 songs.

Foot Loose (Group Dance)

  • Minimum 4, Maximum 10 members per team
  • Any kind of dance is allowed except Folk & Classical
  • Time Limit: 6 minutes from set up to finish (a bell will be rung on completion of 5 minutes)
  • Judgment Criteria – Choreography, Sync, Choice of Song, Energy, Expressions, Costume & Overall Presentation
  • In case of technical failure, a second chance will be given to the participants but no second chance for failures during the performance.
  • One non-performing member of the team has to be designated for lights and sound control.
  • The CD / Pen Drive containing the song should be handled by the non-performing member of the team. In case of corrupt CD or Pen Drive, the organizers will not be responsible

Desidance (Group Dance)

  • Indian Folk & Classical dance to be performed
  • Other rules are identical to Foot Loose

Free Adz (Adzap)

  • Minimum 4, Maximum 10 members per team
  • The team need to come prepared with an advertisement of a product or a service of their choice.
  • Vulgarity or offensive terms may lead to disqualification.
  • No props are allowed. Costumes of any nature will not be considered as a prop.
  • Time Limit: 5 minutes from set up to finish (a bell will be rung on completion of 4 minutes)
  • Judgment Criteria – Humor, Creativity, Relevance to the product / service, Expressions & Overall Presentation

Flavors (Variety Show)

  • Minimum 4 Maximum, 10 members per team
  • The participants can perform a variety of events with in the stipulated time. It can be a dance,
  • mimicry, jugglery, laughter skit etc. It is left to the imagination of the team.
  • Vulgarity or offensive terms may lead to disqualification.
  • Use of Fire / Water not allowed
  • Time Limit: 5 minutes from set up to finish (a bell will be rung on completion of 4 minutes)
  • Judgment Criteria – Team Participation, Humor, Energy, Expressions, Creativity & Overall
  • Presentation

Mute Station (Silent Skit)

  • Minimum 4 Maximum 10 members per team
  • The skit should be performed in silence. Any uttering of words during the event will lead to
  • negative marks. If repeated, will lead to disqualification.
  • Use of music with non-musical instruments are only allowed. i.e., a team can use a book, box etc to create sounds.
  • No props are allowed except the ones used to make sound (music). Costumes of any nature will not be considered as a prop.
  • Time Limit: 5 minutes from set up to finish (a bell will be rung on completion of 4 minutes)
  • Judgment Criteria – Team Participation, Humor, Expressions, Creativity & Overall Presentation
  • In matters of doubts which are not covered here, the decision of the Organizers / Jury would be final & binding on all concerned.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

BEST FAIR PLAY –

  • Teams who have not flouted the rules are awarded points after each event
  • The overall top scorer is given this award

BEST CHEERING TEAM –

  • The cheering team should get their gears to assist in the cheering efforts
  • The teams that are in the company t-shirts or any common colored attire will only be considered

CORPORATE CHAMPIONS –

  • The team bagging maximum points will be the overall winner. 2nd Runner & 3rd Runner will also be entitled for the trophies.

Points are granted on the following criteria:

1st Place – 3 Points

2nd Place – 2 Points

3rd Place – 1 Point

  • Every winner (all 3 places in each event category) will be awarded a Team Trophy apart from the overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS –

  • Medals & Certificate to the winners
  • Attractive awards for the Individuals like Best Entertainer Award, Best Dressed, etc.
  • Participation Certificate to all
