We are glad to announce that a traditional Czech and Slovak puppetry has been inscribed to a list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on 1 December 2016. The puppet show has been one of the traditional forms of theater in the Czech lands for many centuries. We invite you to see a great show "Swinging Marionettes" performed by famous Czech puppeteer Mr. Pavel Vangeli. He is coming to India to perform in Bengaluru on 7 January 2017 and in Delhi on 8 January 2017.
A puppet tradition is a form of entertainment that has appealed to children for generations. It dates back to the 18th century and is practiced across the Czech Republic. The puppets are crafted by hand, beginning life as a block of wood.
