Need and Rationale

For everyone, facing problems is inevitable and it is well-known fact that the problems in life are always associated with a certain amount of Stress. As a positive influence, stress can challenge us to action. As a negative influence, it leads to distorted thinking and can create distress and lead to health problems. Cognitive therapy (popularly known as CBT) by Aaron Beck is another widely practiced form of therapy that focuses on client’s distorted thinking and helps them correct it along with beliefs, helps them modify their beliefs and behavior. It helps to learn new ways of relating to themselves, others and the world and solve difficulties in their lives.

  • Explain Basic counselling, protocol based Stress Counseling, CBT techniques and their Applications
  • Application of CBT in non- clinical populations as Stress Counseling
