ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

‘Be’ is a day-long workshop designed by Yoga Siromani Ruchika Wason and theatre practitioner Vaishali Chakravarty, who bring together ideas and routines from their respective disciplines to explore new ways to help you achieve complete well-being.

‘Be’ will introduce you to- yoga practices like Pranayama, Surya Namaskar, Asanas and Relaxation techniques; and theatre exercises for voice, movement and expression through the Nav Rasa technique.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, together these will stimulate you internally and externally, helping you to find the path to harmony between your inner and outer being



ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACULTY


Ruchika Wason

Ruchika is the founder of Mayaa Yoga Shala. She is a 200hours YTT Hatha Yoga Siromani (Teacher) from the Sivananda Lineage.

She recently traveled to Nepal, post the earthquake as she wanted to make Yoga a part of their rehabilitation efforts. She volunteered with “Innovative Social Centre”, a family run orphanage and coordinators of various volunteering projects where she took the Orphanage Project and their Monastery Program. She is also a Karma Yogi at Sivananda Yoga Center Gurgaon and teaches at yoga open classes for adults and Kids Yoga regularly.



Vaishali Chakravarty

Vaishali is a leading theatre practitioner of Delhi and a member of the Actor Factor Theatre Company. She has worked in 8 full length productions and performed over 100 shows. Her performances have consistently found a special mention in national dailies. She has trained under theatre veterans like Vineet Kumar, Sabitri Devi and Heisnam Kanhailal. Vaishali has been awarded the ‘Associate of Trinity College London – Diploma in Speech and Drama with Distinction’. Vaishali is also the Drama & Performance Consultant for Trinity College London in India. and has been instrumental in initiating Drama & Speech programs in various international schools across the country.
