About The Event

Monkey Radio India presents  - Apache Indian Live and Direct

The 'Boomshackalak' star, Apache Indian is hitting Indian shores this month for an intense performance across the nation. With his own sound system, 'Karma sound system', Steven Kapur will be performing in 4 cities including Hyderabad. Apache Indian is known for his singles "Chokthere", "Arranged Marriage" and collaborations with artists such as A.R. Rahman and Asha Bhonsle. Straight from the UK Reggae scene, Apache Indian will give India a true taste of reggae music and sound system culture from the international scene.

The Apache Indian Hyderabad tour will be presented by Monkey Foundation, an organization known for 'Monkey Radio India', an online radio station serving pure, eclectic non-mainstream music for the listeners. Monkey Foundation is actively involved in community building and the promotion of arts and culture in India. With a strong and talented team, Monkey Foundation strives to promote eclectic arts from the mainstream dominated culture scene in India. The artists representing Monkey Foundation, ‘Monkey Sound System’ are a mix of artists from various creative fields who will support Apache Indian's Karma sound system in their Hyderabad performance. The event is co-produced by venue and hospitality partners, 10-Lounge.

Dakta Dub, a DJ from Hungary/India will be representing Monkey Sound System, playing a one-of-a kind set strictly on Vinyl Records purchased straight from the artists in Jamaica, Germany and UK. He will be playing on a set of turntables along with Beat-boxer/Host 'IrieBoy'. IrieBoy is a sixteen year old member of the sound system who is known for his vocal abilities and his accurate and sharp reproduction of cutting edge beats. The team will be supported by a visual artist, 'Shivacult', a multi-creative artist from Hyderabad who will be representing the Hyderabad city, its people and reggae music with his visualizations. Individually, the members have a long history of international performances and music releases.

Monkey sound system's allies from the North, the 'Reggae Rajahs' will be represented by crew member Raghav, "Diggy" Dang, who will be host for the evening, using his skills as an MC and a performer to woo the audience. Raghav has performed in a huge number of festivals across India and abroad along with his crew, including the Sunburn festival, NH7 weekender and Holi Cow festival.

DJ Chantz from Bombay Bassment will be representing Karma Sound System’s official DJ. He will be honouring the decks for Apache Indian.
