About The Event

Agam Tomar, a final year (X Semester) IDD (Integrated B. Tech – M. Tech Dual Degree) student in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi is working on the topic “Identification and Analysis of Structural Systems” as his Master’s thesis. For his prospective research work, he got an opportunity to conduct intensive experiments and computational work at Twisted Wind Tunnel Laboratory, University of Auckland, New Zealand for six months from February, 2016 to August, 2016.

 

He believes that his research work at the proposed scale will get him a research publication to assist in creating global academic impact of IIT (BHU), Varanasi and will also help in promoting international collaborations of IIT (BHU) with University of Auckland. According to QS world ranking in Civil and Structural Engineering subject, University of Auckland holds an international ranking of 43.

 

Therefore, through this platform, he seeks help and blessings from alumni group in the form of financial support that amounts to approximately INR 3, 50,000. Out of which, he is self-funding INR 50,000 and is looking for alumni group to help him with the balance INR 3, 00,000.
