Your answer to that question is right here! Yes we have a dance festival for beginners, where you don't get intimidated by others and can have your own space and time to have fun while learning a lot of things and dancing a lot as well !

Attendee cut off limit is set to 60 registrants at this time. Registrations with take place in two rounds to split up the registrations. Registrations in round 1 will account only for contribution to cover the over heads. Registrations in round 2 will be paid registrants and will be higher.
So if u want to save money, please complete your registration round 1.

If 2 rounds of registrations take place, there will be multiple simultaneous sessions to split the groups with multiple instructors. In that case 75% of sessions will still be taught by me.

If you are traveling from out of Mumbai for this festival, please contact me if you need help arranging your accommodation.

If 26th December is not a holiday for you, please request a day off at work or you may wish to skip the Bachata session for 3 hours on that day.

There is NO SEPARATE REGISTRATION for separate dance styles. Everyone has to register for entire dance festival even if you are not able to attend certain hours or styles of classes or social dances. If you have any questions, please send me a message.

Let us all come together and help India build a positive and friendly social dance community. This is your opportunity to begin as a beginner and blend in dance festivals. Do not miss it!

If you want to volunteer for the dance festival to help out with various logistics like ticket checking, registrant list, etc. please send me a message listing why you would like to volunteer and how effective you would be in helping me out. If you have volunteered before at any events(doesn't have to be a dance event) it is a plus. At this point I am looking for two volunteers. People who will volunteer will get Rs. 300 to Rs. 500 off on their ticket price depending on their duties and hours of help. This discount is not available for tickets at super early bird and early bird prices.

The sessions are taught by KV himself who is a master in 15+ social/partner dance styles like Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Zouk, Lindyhop(east coast swing dance), Blues dancing, Contact Improvisation, Reggae, West coast swing dance, Jive, Cha-cha, Fusion dancing, Tango, Kizomba, Forro and so many more to name.

KV has danced continuously for last 5 years in the US, the UK and India. He learned all these dance forms while he lived all these years in the US. He has traveled to more than 70+ dance exchanges, 90+ dance scenes in the US and the UK and must have danced with over 7000 people in last 5 years in these two countries.

This is an opportunity to learn directly from him.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING A PARTNER ALONG! HOWEVER, YOU MAY BRING A PARTNER TO GETCHEAPER TICKETS! We always rotate partners so you get to experience how it is different when you dance with different people (connection, height, energy etc.) and you don't want to make all your mistakes dancing with the same partner anyway ;)  For people who register as a couple, we do recommend rotating partners, but if you prefer to stay with the same partner for the entire session, that is okay as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) What to wear?
Ans: Comfortable clothing. Do not wear extremely tight or extremely loose clothing.

2) Do I need to bring separate shoes for dancing?
Ans: As a general rule of thumb, dancers all over the world carry a separate pair of dance shoes which they wear on the dance floor. For certain dance styles girls will require dance shoes with flat bottoms. For other dance styles, girls may wear dance shoes that have tiny to medium heels and guys may wear shoes which may or may not have any heels. Girls and guys both should avoid wearing shoes which are sticky (rubber soles) on the dance floor. Soles should be slick(smooth). Guy require shoes with flat bottom to tiny heels in most dances in this festival. As an etiquette do not use outdoor shoes on the dance floor(this avoids rain and dirt on the dance floor and accidental slips and falls)

After your registration you will receive a pdf copy of your ticket in your email. Please bring a softcopy of this ticket on your smartphone or a printout to the venue along with your id proof.

3) What to bring?
Ans: Please bring at least 3 -4 pairs of t-shirts or tops/dresses to change if you get sweaty during the sessions every day. Bring 2 -3 litres of water with you to drink or more. There are food joints close to the venue to arrange for lunch and dinner, but you may plan to bring something along if you wish to.
