About The Event

Salsa dancers!

So with the popular request that you all have made, I am offering back to back Salsa sessions every Sunday! This will enable you guys to dance and practice regularly every week so you may not forget what you learned in the previous sessions.

This is a series of 6 crash course sessions of 4.5 hours each. That makes a total of 27 hours of Salsa that you will do. Considering that it might not be possible for everyone to be present every Sunday for 6 weeks (we would hate people to pay and not be able to attend), I am offering 2 extra buffer sessions. So in effect you contribute only for 6 sessions out of 8 sessions. You may choose to attend any 6 out of it and skip 2 when you may not be available on a particular Sunday. If you happen to attend all 8 sessions, you may contribute for the 2 extra sessions then. Material covered in all 8 sessions will be different, nothing will be repeated.

So these sessions are for Salsa dancers who have done at least 20+ hours of Salsa with me or elsewhere. These sessions are NOT FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS.

Also the good part is that 10:30 am to 2:00 pm is the beginner Salsa crash course series. From 2 pm to 2:30 pm is the SOCIAL DANCE. Which means that all you improver/intermediate folks and the beginner folks get the dance floor to dance and practice! More people, more dancing, more fun!

Attendees need to contribute for the entire series. However for the ease of finances, there will be an option for installments.

Session dates: 8th Feb, 15th Feb, 22nd Feb, 1st March, 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March - Sundays - 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm

Contribution will be variable as always. Earlier you register, lesser you contribute.

1) What to wear?
Ans: Comfortable clothing. Do not wear extremely tight or extremely loose clothing.

2) Do I need to bring separate shoes for dancing?
Ans: As a general rule of thumb, dancers all over the world carry a separate pair of dance shoes which they wear on the dance floor. For this session, girls may wear dance shoes that have tiny to medium heels and guys may wear shoes which may or may not have any heels. Girls and guys both should avoid wearing shoes which are sticky (rubber soles) on the dance floor. Soles should be slick(smooth). You do not need to buy new shoes for the session, just bring the best you can. But as an etiquette do not use outdoor shoes on the dance floor(this avoids rain and dirt on the dance floor and accidental slips and falls)

After your registration you will receive a pdf copy of your ticket in your email. Please bring a softcopy of this ticket on your smartphone or a printout to the venue along with your id proof.

3) What to bring?
Ans: Please bring at least 2 pairs of t-shirts or tops/dresses to change if you get sweaty during the session. Bring 2 -3 litres of water with you to drink. There are food joints close to the venue to arrange for lunch, but you may plan to bring something along if you wish to.
