Samsung launches 5 dual SIM phones in India – 3 Galaxy Duos included

After the huge success of its Galaxy series, it seems that Samsung has decided to go one up by officially announcing the launch of 5 new dual SIM phones in the Indian market.

While the Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos (C3312) and Star 3 Duos (GT-S5222) are both normal dual SIM phones, they are, no way, lacking in cool features.

At the other end, the Galaxy Ace Duos (SCH-i589), Galaxy Y Pro Duos (GT B5512) and Galaxy Y Duos (GT-S6102) are not only all dual SIM phones, they are also a part of the Galaxy series smart phones. Smart-phone fans rejoice! Now, you not get the features of a smart phone but also the added advantage of using two SIMs in one phone.

Excited? then go ahead and read through the tech specs of the new dual SIM Galaxy smart phones:

Galaxy Ace Duos: Sporting a Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and an 832 MHz processor, this phone comes with the dual SIM dual active technology which allows users to be available on both CDMA and GSM numbers at the same time. Priced at Rs 16,900, the phone has a 3.5 inch touch screen with HVGA display and EvDO Rev A capability, which enables users to download/transfer data at super fast speeds of 3.1Mbps over the CDMA network. A 1650 mAH battery allows up to 7 hours of talk time.

Galaxy Y Pro Duos: Priced affordably at Rs 11,090, the Galaxy Y Pro Duos has a 2.5 inch LQVGA capacitive touch screen and is said to be the first android based dual SIM smart phone with a QWERTY keypad with an optical track pad. Social Hub Premium app allows users to stay connected with various social networks while Wi-Fi functionality and a 3MP front facing camera are added bonuses.

Galaxy Y Duos: This may be the priced the lowest of the three at Rs 10,490 but it offers some great features that are sure to make it popular with customers. Not only does it allow users to access data and call at the same time, the phone also comes with Social Hub, and Chat ON (Samsung messenger service). A 3.14-inch display and 832 MHz processor only sweetens the deal.

The other two phone simultaneously launched by Samsung Electronics Co are of the non-smart phone variety but that does not in any way lessen the quality of the numerous features integrated into these phones.

Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos: This phone comes with a virtual QWERTY keypad, Hindi language input, inbuilt Facebook and Twitter apps, all messengers including Yahoo, MSN, GTalk and even Chat ON (Samsung messenger service) and if that is not enough it has a 3.0 Bluetooth, 1.3 mega pixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio and 3.5mm ear jack, Push Mail with Active-sync and an Opera Mini Browser. Wondering about the price? The phone comes with the reasonable price tag of Rs 4790.

Star 3 Duos (GT-S5222): This sleek, slim phone is the perfect marriage of style and technology. With a 3.0-inch QVGA display, 3MP camera, 1000mAh battery, Push IM, inbuilt social network apps, Weather Widget, Push email, a Dictionary and Hindi Language Input and many other interesting features to explore, this phone is a steal at Rs 6,290

So if you are due for a new phone, you might consider indulging yourself with one of these five new Dual SIM phones. They are sure to be worth the splurge.
