The places covered: The Qutub Shahi Tombs: A little away from the Golconda Fort are a cluster of tombs, the most authentic evidence of the Qutub Shahi architectural traditions. Ensconced amidst picturesque and landscaped gardens, known as Ibrahim bagh, is the grandeur of these tombs dedicated to the memory of the seven Qutub Shahi kings who ruled Golconda for nearly 170 years.

Standing a mute testimony to a rich, ferocious and vibrant past tracing through the efforts of the Kakatiyans who first established base here in the 13th century, we now have a picturesque and exciting location to explore. Each step we take here, each view we drink in and each of the pieces of the ruins that we stumble over have a story to tell.

Experience the galour and the glitz of  a night time wak in the fully loaded Bazzars of Hyderabad, with breaks to taste the wide variety of street food that shall be on display as we are in the holy month of Ramzaan. This is the month when the night life in the old city bustles and the people come out in large numbers to shop and celebrate.

Trek along the outer ramparts of the scenic Golkonda Fort. Experience the visual treat of an open Sky and lush green surroundings, the aroma of fresh foliage with the monsoon just having set in. Jump like a goat across the small chasms for the adventurous or sedately amble around them! View the magnificent canons lying askew on the ruins of the ramparts, which would have been sentinels of the Qutub shahi armies of yore on these crumbling bastions.

SHAMIRPET LAKE: Shamirpet Lake is situated about 20 kms north of Secunderabad, beyond a beautiful drive through the lush green army cantonment areas. It is an artificial one, built during the reign of the Nizams. Its beautiful rocky terrain gives us ample opportunity to use our skills to navigate around the boulders while keeping an eye on the lake and surrounding water bodies.
